2Corinthians; 2:17
(Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.)
You can be a great person and willing to help others and share what you have, but you still are heading to eternal separation from God for eternity if you are not saved. The Bible tells us that we are spiritually dead without Jesus Christ in our life. If you haven't accepted Jesus as your Savior, then you don't have the power of the Holy Spirit who indwells all true believers. All the works you will ever do will not get you into Heaven. It is only through the blood of Jesus that you are reconciled to God. Once you accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, He sends the Holy Spirit into your life and you have been reborn spiritually. Now you are a new creation in Christ.
Sin no longer has control over you as it did before you put your faith in Jesus. You will still have to live in a sinful world but the Holy Spirit gives you the power to say no to sin. You did not have this power before because you were a slave to sin. Sometime you might sin, but your sin has been forgiven because of Jesus sacrificial death on the cross. He gave his life to pay for our sins and the sins of the world. Jesus paid the price for sinners who would come to Him for forgiveness. If a person does not ask Jesus for forgiveness, then there is no forgiveness and he or she will die in their sins and pay the price themselves. What is the price of sin? [DEATH]
Romans; 6:23
(For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.)
This change that comes into our life when we put our faith in Jesus cannot be done without the Holy Spirit. This change is going to happen, and if it doesn't, then we need to do a check in our life to see if we are truly a child of God. God tells us that we will be a new man in Christ Jesus and that we are to put off the old man.
Philippians; 1:6
(being confident of this very thing, that He who begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;)
When God begins a work of salvation in a person, He finishes and perfects that work. If we start to move off the path, He will nudge us back in line. So, if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have been given a new life spiritually and change is inevitable.
God Bless You!

That's Your Belief!
This past month I was sharing with a family member and friend what God tells us in His Word about sin. I told him that if he didn't come to Jesus for forgiveness of sins then he would die in his sins. I told him that there is no second chances after death and he would die in his sins. The response I received from him was "That's your belief". I responded with "You're right, that is my belief because that is what God tells us in His Word".
Believing in Jesus is a must if you are to have eternal life. All through the Bible we are instructed to believe on the name of the only begotten Son of God. Without believing that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, we cannot be saved.
John; 8:24
(Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.")
As believers in Jesus, it is sometimes hard to understand how others can say that they don't believe. Especially when God has revealed to all mankind the evidence of His existence through creation. No one will have an excuse for not believing in God.
Romans; 1:18-20
(For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,)
So what do we do when someone says that they just don't believe? We can show them what God says in His word and that might help, but the best weapon we have against unbelief is prayer. We need to be praying for the lost in the world that God will lift the veil of unbelief and they will come to saving knowledge of God. We might feel that they will never turn to Jesus, but Jesus tells us that with man it is impossible, but with God nothing is impossible. Our Job! Keep praying!
God Bless You!

Train Our Children In The Way They Should Go!
Our children are a gift from God. It doesn't just happen that we have children, because if God hadn't wanted us to have them we certainly would not have them. Now that we do have them we are to love them and take good of their physical needs as well as their spiritual needs. Most of us will do a great job taking care of their physical needs giving them food to eat as well as a roof over their head. But how about their spiritual needs? How do we rate ourselves on the job we are doing?
As parents, we are responsible to teach our children about God. We can do this by having nightly Bible studies and spend time in prayer. There are many children's books that have Bible stories that we can read to our children. Then we can talk about them and explain them to our children. It's never to early to start because our children grow up so fast and we will have let the time slip away. God tells us that we are to train our children in the way they should go.
Proverbs; 22:6
(Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.)
We all talk about how much we love our children, but do we take them to church, do read the Bible to them? Do we set a godly example in our daily walk for them to follow? Children learn so much from what they see their parents doing and how live. We all want our children to be in heaven one day, but are we giving them the tools to learn or are we going to let the world teach them what ever feels good do it?
God has given us the children, but He has also told to teach them.
Ephesians; 6:4
(And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in training and admonition of the Lord.)
We all want what is best for our family and it is our responsibility to lead by example. Let's give our children a godly example to follow.
