Some of us are ready for Jesus' return and some of are still trying to decide if we will accept the Gift of Life from God. I find it hard to understand why someone would wait to make that decision. I have had people tell me that they just weren't sure what they wanted to do and so they would think about it for a little while longer. We have no guarantee that we have another day on earth to make that decision. There will be people in Hell who wanted to think about it for a little longer.
How many times have you heard the old saying that my dad used to tell us, "don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today?" When we are young all we want to do is have fun, but as we get older we start to see that life is flying by at a fast pace and we need to get those things done while we have the time. It is no different with our salvation. Why would a person want to put it off until tomorrow? We may never see tomorrow. We don't know what tomorrow will bring, all we know is the present time, not the future.
[TODAY IS THE DAY FOR SALVATION]
2Corinthians; 6:1-2
(We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says: "In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you."Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
God is talking to us now, don't take his patience with us as slack time. God knows the future and wants you to come to Him as a repentant sinner and ask for forgiveness.
Isaiah; 55:6
(Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while he is near.)
Hebrews; 3:7-8
(Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the day of rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness,)
The more you say "no" to something the easier it gets, and next time someone tries to tell you about Jesus, you will find it easier to say "no". Your heart will become callused the more you keep saying "no" to Jesus. Then one day you won't even listen to His call for repentance leading to salvation. Do not continue to reject the call to repentance, give your life to Jesus today.
Romans; 13:12
(The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.)
Don't keep saying "no" to Jesus, He loves you and doesn't want you to end up in Hell. There is no other way to receive salvation, salvation is in the Lord and Him only. The Scriptures tell us that there are two paths we can take. One path is our way which leads to death, the other path is God's way through Jesus Christ which leads to life eternal. There is no other way to be saved.
Acts; 4:12
(Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.")
If you are still waiting for the right time to accept Jesus as your Savior, now is the right time for you. Do it while you still have a chance. You might not ever get another chance, and you don't want to pass up your chance to repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord of your life. Put your faith in Jesus!
Romans; 10:9-10
(that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.)
God Bless you!
