John; 19:17-18
(And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of the Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center.)
Oh how thankful we should be that Jesus took our place on the cross. He died as a sacrifice for our sins. He was without sin but loved us so much that He was willing to take our place. Because of His sacrifice, we now can have forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Him. It is a free gift from God and freely given to all who ask for it.
Romans; 6:23
(For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Notice it doesn't say that eternal life is in something we have done. There is no way you can be forgiven except by asking Jesus for forgiveness. He wants to forgive you but you must come to Him. He won't force you to come to Him, but He also doesn't want you to perish either.
John; 14:6
(Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.)
Jesus tells us that He died and He is the way. No matter what the world says, there is no other way to be forgiven. You'll never be able to earn forgiveness of sins. Jesus has already paid the price. If you don't accept His forgiveness, you'll pay the price yourself.
Matthew; 28:5-6
(But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.)
Jesus rose from the dead, thus defeating death. Death could not hold Him and the sting of death was gone. As Born Again Christians we don't have to fear death either. Jesus is able to raise us up from the grave to eternal life with Him.
Matthew; 7:13-14
(Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.)
We all have to make a choice in life. Will we follow Jesus (The narrow way) or follow the rest of the world (The wide and broad way)? I choose to follow Jesus and have eternal life with Him. If you choose to follow the world, you will spend eternity in Hell (the lake of fire). There are only two choices. You must choose one! I pray you choose Jesus.
God Bless You!
