Enter Through The Gate!

If you have ever been on a ranch or farm, you notice that the different fields all have a gate to let you into that particular piece of ground. The gate also keeps the animals inside, such as cattle or sheep. The gate also keeps certain animals out so that they don't intermingle. Most countries that raise the sheep have a shepherd to watch over the sheep.

In the Scriptures, Jesus tells us that He is our Shepherd and that He knows who His sheep are and that the sheep know who He is. A sheepherder talks to the sheep and they know his voice and will follow him in and out through the gate. If someone tries to move them who they don't know, the sheep will not listen to his voice and will run away from him.
John;10:2-5
(But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.)

Next Jesus tells us that He is the door into the pen. The sheep must enter through the door to get into the pen. He says that any who try to enter any other way, don't belong.
John;10:7-8
(Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.)
We are told that everyone that tries to sneak in are there to kill and destroy, but Jesus came to give life.
John;10:10
(The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.)
Jesus said that He is the door to be saved.
John;10:9
(I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.)

Is there another way into the pasture? Jesus says there are two paths that we can follow, one leads to life, and the other leads to destruction. When Thomas asked Jesus how he could know the way, Jesus told him that He was the way.
John;14:5-6
(Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.)

The world tries to tell us that it doesn't matter what we do because God is a loving God and He will not send anyone to eternal punishment. This is so far from the truth. God is a loving God, but He is also a just God. If we are not willing to accept the free gift of life that is in His Son Jesus, we are rejecting eternal life and saying we don't care what happens. We are putting our faith in our good works and not faith in Jesus. He died to give forgiveness for sins, but if you don't accept that forgiveness you are doomed to eternal punishment. When you are born again into a new life in Jesus, your name is written in the Book of Life. If you are not saved, your name is not in the Book of Life.
Revelation;20:15
(And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.)

How can you make sure that your name is written in the Book of Life?
Romans;10:9-10
(that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.)
I pray you won't wait until it is too late to call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

God Bless You!
