When We Are All Alone!

Most of us experience this feeling way too much in our life. We have invested much time on friends and family, and rightly so. But what happens when our world is turned upside down and we are thrown to the wolves. If you have lived long enough, you probably have felt like everyone has abandoned you.

What could turn you life upside down? Many things could cause this to happen. Death, loss of job, divorce, just to mention a few. But what are we to do when something like this strikes us in our life. Most of us rely on our friends and family. But what if they aren't living close to you? Where do you turn?

[Turn To God]
James;1:2-4
(My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have it's perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.)
God tells us to humble ourselves before Him, and not to be proud.
1Peter;5:6-7
(Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.)
Luke;14:11
("For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.)

[Casting Our Cares Upon Him]
Psalm;55:22
(Cast your burden upon the Lord and he will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.)

It's never easy to go through trials in our life, but we will all have many of them if we live long enough. God tells us to rely on Him always. He is in charge of everything that goes on in our life. He allows trials to happen so that our faith is perfected. Wouldn't it be nice if everything was perfect? But that isn't going to happen until we are in Heaven.

Until we are in Heaven, we need to rely on God's strength to get us through all the hard times and good times. He wants to have that close relationship with us. He loves us and cares for us and wants to be there for us. If we truly love Him, we will turn to Him always. We can do nothing without Him, we are weak but He is strong.

God Bless you!

Born Once, Die Twice! Born Twice, Die Once!

[BORN ONCE]
What is this guy talking about? You probably have heard this saying sometime in your life. But do you know what they are talking about here? We all know that we were born once from our mothers womb, so how is a person born twice? When we are born from our mother, we are born with blood and water. All of us have been born this way. This is being born once.

[BORN SECOND TIME]
When you are born again, your soul is washed by the Holy Spirit, and purification of your soul takes place. At this point, you have been born twice. Born of water and blood, and also born of Spirit.
John;3:3
(Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.")
So we need to be born of the Spirit as well as of the water and blood.
1Corinthians;15:50
(Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.)
So if we aren't born of the Spirit, we cannot even please God, because we live by the flesh and not by the Spirit.
Romans;8:7-8
(Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.)
Carnally, means of the flesh. When a person lives carnally, they are spiritually dead, not having the Holy Spirit in them. So their mind will be on fleshly things.
Romans;7:5
(For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.)

[DIE ONCE]
Hebrews;9:27
(And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.)
We are all going to die once, all you have to do is look at history. We don't see three hundred year old people running around this world. God tells us that we will die because of sin in the world.
For the born again Christian, this is their physical death. Their spirit goes to heaven to be with the Lord. We don't have to worry about the second death
Romans;8:1
(There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.)
Once again, being born again, you are born of the Spirit and walk according to the Spirit. We are not condemned, because our sins are forgiven. Jesus has paid the price for us when He took our place on the cross and died for our sins.

[SECOND DEATH]
If a person isn't born again, they will experience the second death. What is meant by the second death?
{{{THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT}}}
This is the judgment throne, elevated, pure, and holy. God sits on it as judge in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation;20:11-15
(Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and the books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.)
NOW YOU SEE WHAT THE SECOND DEATH IS ALL ABOUT!
Continuous, unrelieved torment will be the final state of Satan, fallen angels, and unredeemed people.
Revelation;21:8
(But the cowardly, unbelieveing, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.)

[HOW DO I AVOID THE SECOND DEATH?]
I pray that all who read this blog will ask Jesus into their life and have their name written in the Book of Life. You don't want to experience the second death. You want to be born again. Call on the name of the Lord and ask Him to save you.

God Bless You!

What Can I Do For Jesus?

You can't take it with you. How many times have you heard that? Even though this is true that we can't take anything with us when we die, there is still things that we can do while we are alive. The Scriptures tells us that we are made from dust and to dust we shall return. But you should do all you can to tell people about Jesus so that when they die they will go to heaven. So in a sense you are taking someone with you because you were willing to spread the gospel and tell them the way, and maybe they will give their life to Jesus.

When someone tells me that I can't take it with me, I agree with them and then I tell them that I can make sure that my family and friends know about Jesus, and pray for their salvation. If we can just help our family and friends and those who are willing to listen to the gospel, then we have done what we can to take people with us to heaven.

If we aren't willing to share the good news, then how will others hear. Right now everyone who has not accepted Jesus as their Savior is destined to burn in hell. This isn't a maybe, it's a fact. There is no getting around it, Jesus is the only way to heaven. Being nice isn't going to get you there. Your good works isn't going to get you there. Going to church, being raised in a Christian family, helping others, reading your bible, and the list goes on. None of these are going to get you into heaven. These are all good things to be doing, but they are not the way into the kingdom of God.

[THE WAY IS JESUS]
Jesus tells us over and over in the Scriptures that He is the way into heaven.
John;3:3
(Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.")
John;3:16-17
("For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.)
John;6:40
("For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.) This is more proof that Jesus is God the Son.
John;6:47-48
("Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. "I am the bread of life.)
John;14:6
(Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the father but through Me.)
1John;5:11-12
(And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.)

[WE ARE ALL SINNERS]
We are told by God that we all are sinners, everyone of us, no exceptions, we are all guilty and deserving of death.
Romans;3:23
(for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.)
1John;1:8
(If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.)
1John;1:10
(If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.)

[WHAT DO WE DESERVE?]
We all work for our wages, but what should be our wages for our sin?
Romans;6:23
(For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.)
What we deserve is to die for our sins. We are all guilty, everyone of us, you and I, and everyone who has ever lived on this earth. The only one without sin was Jesus.
2Corinthians;5:21
(He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God through Him.)
God the Father sent God the Son to bear our sins on the cross and take the full wrath of God in our place. That is why we don't have to pay the wages and die for our sins. Jesus has already died for us in our place.

[WHAT CAN WE DO THEN?]
We have a way out and the way is Jesus. He says he will save us if we only believe.
Romans;10:9-10
(that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.)
Romans;10:13
(for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.)
That's not hard to do. Jesus has made it so easy for us to have salvation. It wasn't easy for Him, He suffered terribly for us in our place. All we have to do is confess and believe.

[WHAT WILL JESUS DO FOR ME?]
He will save you from eternal life in hell and give you a home in heaven with Him.
1John;1:9
(If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us for all unrighteousness.)
Ephesians;1:13-14
(In Him, you also after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-having also believed , you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory.)
It's a great feeling to know that we belong to God, and are one of His children.

[OUR HOME IN HEAVEN]
John;14:2-3
("In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.)
Jesus has told us that he is preparing a place for you and me, all who are born again. Don't wait!
Give your life to him today, right now. The next breath you take might be your last, we are not guaranteed another moment.

God Bless You!

Life Before Jesus & Life After Jesus!

Before I became a Christian, I lived my life just like everyone else. I lived to please my flesh. I saw no reason to do anything else but please myself. I knew what was right and wrong, I just tried to stay out of trouble. No different than anyone else would do. But one day I found Jesus as my Savior, and my world turned around. Yes I still am a sinner just like everyone else, but the difference is that now I have Jesus in my life and forgiveness of sins. My goal is to serve Him and please Him by obeying His commandments. Now with His help in my life I do my best not to sin. God tells us that all things are possible with Him, but without Him we can do nothing.

We all know someone who we never thought would get saved, and then one day they give their life to Jesus and what a change takes place. I'm proof that Jesus can change lives, just like He says He will. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior, you also are proof of the change that takes place. The Scriptures tells us that people will wonder why we don't do the things we used to do.

1Peter;4:3-4
(For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles-when we walked in lewdness, lust, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you.)

We are suppose to stand out as different, living our lives to please Jesus. If you haven't seen a change in your life, why not? We are told that the change will happen when we are saved. I have had people tell me they are saved, but there is no evidence of a new creation in Christ. When you become a Christian you should have a new outlook at sin and evil. They are still present in our life, but they don't have a hold on us like they did before Jesus came into our life. Sin shouldn't be a master of your life any longer, you are not a slave to it.
2Corinthians;5:17
(Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.) So if you have given your life to Jesus, your old self has gone, you are brand new. The life you lead now is for God.
Colossians;3:9-10
(Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,)

It is God's plan for us to become more Christ like in our life.
Romans;8:29
(For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.)
1Corinthians;15:49
(And as we have born the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly man.)
1John;3:2-3
(Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.)

So when you are saved, you should start to see a change in your life. What used to be important, isn't any longer, because Jesus has taken first place in your life. God is continually working in our life molding us into the image of His Son. When you become one of God's children, He will begin a work in your life.
Philippians;1:6
(being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.) We are an ongoing work, being totally change from our old sinful self.
We should start to see change. You should see the fruit of the spirit, not the fruit of the flesh.

[WORKS OF THE FLESH BEFORE JESUS]
Galatians;5:19-21
(Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, self ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.)

[FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT AFTER JESUS]
This is a list of Godly attitudes that characterize the lives of those who belong to God by faith in Jesus Christ, and possess the Holy Spirit.
Galatians;5:22-23
(But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, selfcontrol. Against such there is no law.)
As our pastor was telling us in church yesterday, these are traits that we should exhibit in our daily walk? If not, then the question is, WHY NOT?
Galatians;5:16-7
(I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lust against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.)

So our life before Jesus will serve the flesh, and do the deeds of the flesh. Once we have Jesus in our life, we will see a change. We will have the fruit of the Spirit. We will serve God and not our flesh.

God Bless You!

Remember To Thank Jesus This Season

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I see that the stores have already put their Christmas decorations out. We just never get a chance to rest or slow down. I guess it is just part of our society. GO! GO! GO! that seems to be the prevailing theme. What ever happened to "take a break for a minute". I got up early Friday because I had gone to bed early thinking I might go to work. So I headed to the Store at about 6.00am and I couldn't believe it. I went into the store and it was packed. You had to watch where you were going or you would get run over by someone's cart. They were out in masses.

I guess the stores put sales on that early in the morning. I had stumbled into this before, but forgot that it was the Day After. It's a very dangerous time to go out and about. I went back to my motel and was thankful to be at rest. Needless to say, I'm home and all is well.

We have almost forgotten what we really are celebrating. I'm just as bad about getting presents for my loved ones as anyone else, maybe even worse. But when we stop and reflect on what the season is, we get back to what God has done for us. We are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. His coming down from heaven in the form of man, to give us forgiveness of sins. You know what our destiny would have been if He hadn't loved us so much.

You have cults out there who don't believe that Jesus was God in the flesh. But the Scriptures affirm that Jesus was God. I will give you some of them and if you don't believe, maybe these will change your mind.

Matthew;1:23
("BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD AND SHALL BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL" which translated means, "GOD WITH US".) That tells us that when Jesus was born, God was with man at that point. Who else can forgive man of his sins, but God alone?
Matthew;1:21
("She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.")
When Jesus healed the Paralytic:
Matthew;9:2
(And they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, "Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven") The scribes thought that He was blaspheming.
Matthew;9:4-6
(And Jesus knowing their thoughts said,"Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, ' Get up, and walk'? "But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"-then He said to the paralytic, "Get up, pick up your bed and go home.") So here Jesus was affirming to them that He had authority to forgive sins, and only God can forgive you of your sins.

We all know that God made this world and everything that is in it, including us. You might be one who thinks it could have been evolution. But that isn't what God tells us in His Word. We all know about Genesis, but there is also proof in the New Testament.
Hebrews;1:1-2
(God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.) So here the Father is telling us that world was made through the Son. Still not convinced?
Hebrews;1:3
(And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,) Here is proof that Jesus is part of the trinity. When God the Father was talking to the Son, He called Him God.
Hebrews;1:8-12
(But of the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM. YOU HAVE LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATED LAWLESSNESS; THEREFORE GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS ANOINTED YOU WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS ABOVE YOUR COMPANIONS ." And "YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS; THEY WILL PERISH, BUT YOU REMAIN; AND THEY WILL BECOME OLD LIKE A GARMENT, AND LIKE A MANTEL YOU WILL ROLL THEM UP; LIKE A GARMENT THEY WILL ALSO BE CHANGED, BUT YOU ARE THE SAME, AND YOUR YEARS WILL NOT COME TO AN END.")

Jesus tell us that He is the way, and the truth, and the life. So we need to be thankful for His sacrifice on the cross for our forgiveness of sins. It is His birthday that we are celebrating next month. We need to remember that as He is our Salvation, the Forgiveness of sins, the Way to heaven. Christmas is a joyful time of the year, but let's keep Jesus in the season, as well as all year. One day if you are a born again Christian, you will be able to thank God in person for the gift of life. I pray that you have accepted Him as your Savior, if you haven't, you can right now. He will forgive you of your sins, and you will have a home with Him in heaven for eternity. You don't want to spend eternity in hell.

Just something to think about as we head toward Christmas.

God Bless You!

Rapture! Not Tribulation!

When will God take his people from the earth? Some people are pre-tribulation, others are mid-tribulation, and still others are post-tribulation. I happen to be pre-tribulation. I will give you some Scripture that causes me believe this way.

What is a tribulation? Websters explains it as: distress or suffering resulting from oppression or persecution; also a trying experience.
Not something that any of us would want to go through.

In the book of John, we are told by Jesus Himself that He is going to prepare a place for us, and that He will come and take us to be with Him.
John;14:1-4
("Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.")
So Jesus tells us He is coming to take us home to be with Him.

Jesus bore God's wrath for us when He took our place on the cross. The penalty for our sins has been paid.
Romans;5:8-10
(But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.)
In this Scripture, we are told that we will be saved from God's wrath.
Romans;8:1
(There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.)

Another place in the Scriptures where we are told that we will be delivered away from the wrath to come.
1Thessalonians;1:9-10
(For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.)
A couple of other places in Scripture which make me believe in pre-tibulation are also in the book of 1Thessalonians.
1Thessalonians;4:16-17
(For the Lord Himself will decend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the lord.)
Now I want to explain this. If you die your spirit goes to be with the Lord, when He returns to gather those who are alive and remain, you will be given a new resurrected body.
1Corinthians;15:42-44
(So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.)

We are told again that we will be given a new body equiped for eternity.
1Corinthians;15:50-54
(Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptable, and we shall be changed. For this corruptable must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptable has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory.")
1Thessalonians;5:9
(For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus.)

Now these are some of the reasons why I believe in pre-tribulation. I just don't think that we are destined to go through that kind of troubles. We are told that it will be a terrible time on earth. The earth will not have seen anything as bad as what will happen. We are told in the book of Revelation that men will not repent of their of sins. I don't want to be here when these things take place, and you don't want to be here either. There is going to be pain, suffering, death, terror so bad that we can't even imagine.

Now is the time to give your life to Jesus. Ask Him to forgive you and save you. Make sure that your name is in the Book of Life.

God bless You!

Homosexual And Lesbian

Foremost, I want to make this perfectly clear that I'm not judging or attacking people who have chosen this lifestyle. The purpose of this blog is to inform us of what God says about this practice. For those who may not know what homosexual or a lesbian means, we turn to Websters Dictionary.

HOMOSEXUAL: relating to, or exhibiting sexual desire toward a member of one's own sex.
LESBIAN: a female homosexual.

This practice is strictly forbidden in the Scriptures. We can go back to the Old Testament to see what God says. In Leviticus when God was giving Moses the laws for how He expected the people to conduct themselves morally, He told them that they shall not do these things.
Leviticus;18:22-24
(You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female, it is an abomination. Also you shall not have intercourse with any animal to be defiled with it, nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it; it is a perversion. Do not defile yourselves by any of these things, for by all these the nations which I am casting out before you have become defiled.)
When the two angels came to Sodom to talk with Lot, the men of the city also came to Lots house and said to him.
Genesis;19:5
(and they called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.")
So we see that this form of abomination is not new. In case you may not understand what abomination is, this is how Websters Dictionary explains it:

ABOMINATION: 1. something abominable 2. extreme disgust and hatred : Loathing

Now we will move toward the New Testament in the Book of Romans. There are consequences for this type of behavior. God tells us that He has made His existence evident to man by his creation, but man loved unrighteousness.
Romans;1:18-19
(For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.)
But what has man done with that evidence that God has planted in him?
Romans;1:21-23
(For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.)
Now the consequences of this action.
Romans;1:26-27
(For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own person the due penalty of their error.)
Romans;1:28-32
(And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.)

Now we know that God will not tolerate sin in any form. If society continues to reject God as it seems that we are doing, things are going to go from bad to worse. All a person has to do is just look at the last fifty years. You can see how our morals have declined and what it is doing to our society. I don't have to go through everything. Anyone who can read can see what is happening in our country. We are allowing same sex marriages, we are killing unborn babies by the millions. You get the point. We are becoming a product of our own actions. We are paying the penalty for rejecting God.

Don't think that you can reject God and still end up in heaven. We are told we will pay the penalty.
1Corinthians;6:9-10
(Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.)

If a person fits into one of these catagories, there is still hope. Jesus came down to die for my sin and yours. If you are willing to repent of your sins and accept His forgiveness of your sins, He will save you. He has forgiven me and He will do the same for you.
1Corinthians;6:11
(Such were some of you; but you washed, but you were santified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.)
No matter how deep in sin we are, Jesus tells us that He can and will forgive us. There is always hope until you die in your sin without Him. At that point, there is no longer hope for you. All you have at that point is to face judgment with the righteous God.
Hebrews;10:31
(It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.)

Don't wait another moment to ask for forgivness.
Romans;10:9
(that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;)

It's as simple as that to get saved. You will become a new creation in Jesus. Your old self will be done away with, you will become a child of God. YOU WILL BE BORN AGAIN!

God Bless You!

No Compromising Here!

There are some who think our blogs should be just chit-chat. I am going to continue to tell people about Jesus Christ. This could be your last day on earth.

How many times do we hear on the news or when we are with other groups of people, "We need to be tolerant of other beliefs". I was looking at the beliefs of one so called religion and saw where they say "we need to be tolerant of other beliefs and morals". I could hardly believe what I was reading. We all have our own views on things, but to accept beliefs that are contrary to the Bible, I can't do that!

As a Born Again Christian, I would not compromise my beliefs, just to appease some other person who doesn't believe the Bible. God is straightforward when He gives us His commands. We are given the choice to do right or wrong. I am amazed at how people will turn the other way rather than stand up for what is right.

If we are going to live our lives agreeing with the rest of the world, then we are on the way to destruction and we are in a hurry to get there. God tells us that we are to be a light in a dark place. Being Christians,we are to stand out as different, not blend in with the rest of society. How's the rest of the world going to learn about Jesus if we aren't willing to make a stand? What does the Scriptures say?

We are instructed to spread the good news about Jesus. That He is the way to salvation. One person plants the seed, another person waters the seed, and maybe another person harvests.
Romans;10:14-15
(How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard.? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things.")

You see, we cannot even tolerate any sin, or any other gospel than the gospel of Jesus Christ. When Jesus was with the disciples, He gave them this commission.
Matthew;28:18-20
(And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" Amen.)

So far I don't see anything that tells us to just stand by and be quiet. When we are spreading the good news, we need to be careful. We cannot compromise at all what God says. You have to tell others exactly what the Scripture says. There is no room for error.
2Timothy;2:15
(Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.) We need to tell it like it is, not watered down in order to make someone feel good. We need to get straight to the point about salvation. There is only one way to heaven, and that is through the blood of Jesus Christ. If you don't accept Jesus as your savior, you are going to end up in hell. There is no way to get around that fact.

How do we know if we know Jesus?
1John;2:3-5
(Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him" and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.)
We need to stay true to God's Word. There is no room for any variation from the Word. What God says in the Scriptures, is what He means.

We read that in the end times, people will find teachers to teach them what they want to hear. Paul told Timothy to stay true to the word of God.
2Timothy;4:2-5
(Preach the word. Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers, and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.)
I do my best to help explain the Word. I hope that this will assure you of what God expects from us as Christians. We are to love our fellow brothers and sisters. How can we say we love them and stand by and see them die without Jesus?

God Bless You!

Don't Take Your Life For Granted!

Is it me or does this generation take things for granted. We have grown up in a country that has more than any country. We have more freedom, more goods, more things to do and the ability to do them. We have more cars and consume more energy than most countries. I guess I can see why most of us take everything for granted.

Most countries don't have even a small percent of what we have and their children are put to work at a young age. I look around and see people wondering what there is to do and I think if you were in a foreign country, you would not have this kind of problem. You would be working at a job that probably didn't pay very much and wondering how you were going to support yourself.

I'm not saying that all of our young people are like this, but I do see a lot of them that are totally bored silly. When some of us older generation were growing up, we had to entertain ourselves, so we invented ways of doing things that were fun. Today all I see is young people sitting in front of the computers or television playing video games. I think that the terminology for this is a "gamer".

I was watching the news last week and saw all of these people sitting in front of stores waiting for the newest playstation hitting the store on Friday morning. This game station is selling for $600.00 and that doesn't include any games. I can only imagine what the games cost. After they get the game home they will spend endless hours playing games.

I guess this is the new way of doing things. The trouble is that if we ever loose all of our toys because of some tradgedy, our young people will not know how to function. We already deal with all kinds of depression in our country, and many people I know are on some form for medication to help them deal with life. They need to turn to God for advice on what and where they should be putting their time and money. We are told in the Scriptures that this present earth is going to be burned up with fire, and I don't see any of these toys making it through the fire. We should be spending our spare time working for the kingdom of God and winning souls for Christ.

Our life down here is so short and one day we wake up and wonder where it has all gone. If you are a younger person you may not believe this but just ask your parents and they will tell you how fast you go from twenty to sixty. When God tells us our life is just a vapor, here for a little while then gone, He means it. If you are in your twenties look back at how fast the last few years have gone by. The next thirty will go by even faster.

I am not saying that you can't or shouldn't be able to have these games, but don't waste your life in front of the TV playing games. If you do you will regret it when you are older. Work for treasures that last. Do the work that God has instructed us to do. Win souls for Him. Witness to your friends. You will make your friends happy when they end up in heaven for eternity instead of spending eternity in hell. Spend time studying God's Word, see what His will is for you. Don't let your life slip by and not find salvation in Jesus.

God Bless You!

Wisdom, Heavenly Or Earthly?

You probably know someone who seems to have a lot of wisdom. They might know a lot about life and have a higher education, but are they really as wise as they seem? Most of us know a little about a lot of things and a lot about a few things. What and where should our priority be when it comes to being wise?

The Scripture talks a lot about being wise and having wisdom. We get that knowledge and wisdom from studying God's Word. Wisdom can be broken down into categories.

[Wisdom:]- 1. Knowledge-accumulated philosophic or scientific learning.
2. Insight-ability to discern inner qualities and relationships.
3. Judgment-good sense.

We might all have one or more of these qualities and hopefully use them as God would want us to . Where do we get these qualities and where do we begin. First we should pray and ask God for spiritual wisdom so that we can explain the Scriptures to others. Of course to be able to do this you have to be studying the Bible. We will start out in Proverbs.

Proverbs;1:7(The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.) We need to have a true fear of the living God. We need reverential awe and admiration for God.
Proverbs;2:6(For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth comes knowledge and understanding;) Here again we see that to gain wisdom and knowledge we need to look to God.

If we are to understand the Scriptures, we need to have the Holy Spirit to help explain them. This doesn't mean that an unbeliever cannot understand some of the Scripture, but to have a deep understanding of what God's will is, you need the Holy Spirit.
1Corinthians;2:10-12( But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.)

[Knowledge Of God]
Once again to gain this knowledge we need to be in God's Word.
Colossians;1:9-10(For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.)
The more we draw near to Him, the more He will draw near to us. When you love God, you want to know all you can about Him and His will for you.
Colossians;3:16(Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing on another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.) We are to fill ourselves up with the knowledge of the Lord, so that we will be able to share with others the good news of the gospel, and lead someone to Christ for salvation of their soul.
Colossians;4:5-6(Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.)

[All Scriptures]
2Timothy3:16-17(All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.)
So we see that all the Scriptures are form God and not from man.

[Ask In faith For Wisdom]
We are told to ask for wisdom from God, but we must believe that we will receive wisdom from God.
James;1:5-6(If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.)

[Earthly wisdom]
First we will deal with earthly wisdom.
James;3:14-16(But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.)

[Heavenly Wisdom]
James;3:17(But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. )
So the next time you think someone is wise, look at their life and see where that wisdom is working. Is it wisdom for man's work or is it wisdom for God's work?

I pray that you will ask for heavenly wisdom. If you haven't asked Jesus into your life, now is the right time. Just confess that you are a sinner, and believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. Ask Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your life and save you. He says he will if you just ask and believe. Look at the change you've seen in your Christian brothers and sisters. He can do the same for you.

God Bless You!

Stay Above Reproach! Protect Your Testimony!

As fellow Christians in the world we have to watch our actions and what we say. The world is watching every move we make just looking for some reason to accuse us. Then they go around and say that we are just like they are in the world. We are told to keep our actions pure and true to the Word.

We all go to our jobs and if they know that you are a Christian, don't think for a moment that you aren't being scrutinized. If Satan can ruin your reputation, he'll jump at the chance. We have seen on the news lately where high profile Christians have sinned and been publicly brought down, and the whole world knows about their sin. That is how it works. We are warned to be careful and watch our testimony.

Websters Dictionary explains reproach as: a cause or occasion of blame, discredit, or disgrace. So if we allow our personal testimony to come under reproach, we see that it will have devastating results. How does the Bible tell us to live?

Philippians;2:14-15(Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,)
As Christians we are to be a light in a dark place. If we live like the rest of the world, how are they going to see what God could do for them? They will say "You aren't any different than I am.
Ephesians;5:1-2(Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, as offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.) We are to try to walk like Jesus did when He was on the earth.

[Light In The World]
We are told to let our light shine before men. Jesus has done a good work in us and we need to let the world see what He can do for them.
Ephesians;5:8-11(For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.)

[Walk In Wisdom]
We need to watch our Christian walk.
Ephesians;5:15-17(See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.)
How are we going to be able to understand what God's will is for our life? You must be in the Word, and in prayer. God tells us everything that He expects from us and how He wants us to live in His Word. It's when we think that we have everything under control and start relying on ourselves that we will fall flat on our face.
Colossians;4:5-6(Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.)

The next time you think no one is watch or can hear you, just remember first, God is watching and listening and so is the rest of the world. We are constantly in a spiritual battle and we need to put on the full armor of God. He is our only chance of winning the battle.
1John;4:4(You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.)
So we need to rely on Jesus to fight our battles. He is greater than any who will come against us. Stay above reproach and don't give the enemy any ammunition.

God Bless You!

Who Do You Really Work For?

We all have a job. Some of us like our jobs and some of us don't like our jobs. But why do we really go to work? Most of us go to supply what we need for our families. We are able to do this because we receive a wage. Aren't we glad of that? But what if we got the wage that we deserve. Do you do your job whole heartedly for your employer? I would pray that we do. Who do you work for? Some of us work for the State, the City, private employer's and so on. What does the Bible say about who we work for?

The Scriptures give us guidelines on how we are to work.
Colossians;3:22-24(Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. What ever you do, do your work heartly, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.)
Ephesians;4:28(He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one in need.)

We work for our needs, but we need to be willing to share with those who are in need. Especially those of our own household and also our fellow brethren.
1Timothy;5:8(But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.)
James;2:15-16(If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?)
If we work, then we should have what we need and hopefully enough to share with others.

We are also told to work for heavenly treasures, and keep our sights on Jesus.
When Jesus went to Capernaum, the crowd followed Him and ask Him how He got there.
John;6:26-27(Jesus answered them and said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but beacuse you ate of the loaves and were filled. "Do not work for food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God has set His seal.")
We need to work for our earthly needs to live, but we also need to work for our heavenly needs for eternal life. The crowd then ask Jesus what that work was that He was talking about.
John;6:28-29(Therefore they said to Him, "What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.")

So we have the job to believe first. Now we need to spread the word. We are directed to tell others about Jesus.
Matthew28:19-20("Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the ends of the age.")
Colossians;3:16-17(Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.)

Jesus has done everything for us. He gave His life so that we could have Salvation through Him. Now we need to do the work that He has given us.
1. Colossians;3:2(Set your mind on things above, not on the things that are on earth.)
2. Matthew;22:36-37("Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" And He said to him, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOU HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.")
These are just a couple of things we are to do. Our goal is to do what pleases our Lord and Savior.

The fields are ripe for harvest. The time is getting shorter by the second. We need to tell others about the way to heaven.
Matthew;9:37(Then he said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.)
Every day people are dieing in their sins. Don't be one of them. Stop what you're doing and kneel down and repent of your sins and ask Jesus into your heart. He says he will forgive you and give you eternal life in heaven with Him. We all know that you don't want to be left behind and go through the tribulation period. God doesn't want you to end up in hell, but the choice is all yours. He won't make you love Him, or accept the free gift of life that He is offering to you. If you haven't ask Jesus into your life, don't wait.

God Bless You!

Do You Love Me? Abide In My Love!

We're told to love our neighbor as ourselves. Sometimes that can be really hard to do. You may have a neighbor who just gets under your skin all the time, and you just don't like to be around them. It could be someone you work with, or you keep running into at the gym. There are many passages in the Scripture that deal with what God expect from us when it comes to love.

[Love Your Fellow Man and Woman]
First Jesus tells us what has been said, then what He says. How and who we are to love.
Matthew;5:43(You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy') This saying came from what was said in the Old Testement.
Leviticus;19:18(You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.)
Going back to Matthew, Jesus put a higher standard on this saying.
Matthew;5:44-45(But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.)
We are told these things for a purpose. It's easy to do good to those who do good to us and love those who love us, but what about the people who don't care for us?
Matthew;5:46-48(For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.)

[Abide In God's Love]
If you wonder how we are to do this, Jesus tells us.
John;15:9-10("As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Fathers commandments and abide in His Love.")

[Fruit From Abiding]
John;15:1-2("I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.")
We can do nothing on our own.
John;15:4-5(Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.)

[Consequences Of Not Abiding]
If we love Jesus we will want to stay close to Him. If we don't do this, the Scriptures tell us what will happen to us and what will be our future.
John;15:6(If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.)

[How Long Will You Last In The Fire]
You may be saying what fire is He talking about? We are told that all who do not accept Jesus as their Savior will end up in hell. You might just think that you will be thrown into the fire and be burned up and that is all there is to it. But the Scriptures don't say that.
Matthew;25:41(Then He will say to those on the left hand,'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels;)
Another passage proves tells us of how bad it will be.
Luke;16:23-24(And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.')

[Taking The Mark Of The beast]
We are told that in the tribulation period, you will be required to take the mark of the beast in order to do business. There will be severe consequences for taking the mark.
Revelation;14:9-11(Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.")

Give your life to Jesus before it is too late. Get on your knees and admit you are a sinner, ask Jesus to forgive you and come into your heart and save you.

God Bless You!

To Believe, Or Not To Believe!

What can I do to be saved? You may have asked yourself that question before. We sometimes think that we have to do some work to inherit the kingdom of God. We are told so many places that Jesus paid the price for us so that all we have to do is believe. You might think that is too easy, that there must be some catch. Let's take a look at what God tells us about the kingdom of God.

[Believe And Be Saved]
John;1:12(But as many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:)
Jesus tells us that we must believe that he is the Christ, the Messiah.
John;8:24("Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.")
John;20:31(but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.)
Acts;16:30-31(And he brought them out and said, "Sirs what must I do to be saved?" So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.")
1John;5:13(These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.)
Romans;10:9(that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.)

These are just some of the Scriptures that tells us that we must believe to be saved. There is nothing that you can do to save yourself, Jesus did the work. I know that some people think that they can earn their way into Heaven, but the Scripture doesn't back that up. Our works are as filthy rags, they will not get you there. The Scriptures also tell us what will happen if we don't believe in Jesus.

[What If We Don't Believe]
2Thessalonians;2:11-12(For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.)
Hebrews;10:27(And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,)
Romans;1:28(And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,)
Revelation;20:15(And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of, hr was thrown into the lake of fire.)
Revelation;21:8("But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.")

If you choose not to believe, your name will not be in the Book of Life, and you will spend eternity in the lake of fire. God tells us that we all know He exist, so you won't be able to say you didn't know. Just remember that there is no second chance once you die. Scripture doesn't talk about any second chance, just judgment and either eternity in heaven with God, or eternity in hell with all who did not believe the truth.

God Bless You!

Salvation In No Other Name!

God is just and righteous in judgment on sin. We are all sinners and are destined to stand before the God. Some may say that God is a loving God, and that is a true statement. He is also a righteous God and will judge the world at the end times. You are not going to be able to bargin with God or try to convince Him that you should be let into heaven. We are told all through the Scriptures that Jesus is the way to heaven, and if you don't believe in Him, you won't be saved from eternal damnation.

I know that some religions try to say that there is hope after you die, but the scriptures don't back that doctrine up. Others think that you can pray someone into heaven, that doesn't work. You can pray for someone that they will accept Jesus as their savior before they die, and we should be praying for everyone. But what does the Bible say?

[All Have Sinned]
There is not one of us who hasn't sinned. Jesus is the only person who was sinless, and that is why he could sacrifice his life for ours. He had to be a lamb without blemish, perfect, sinless. We on the other hand are rotten, evil, sinful, unrighteous. We are told this by God.
Romans;3:23(for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.)
That means you and I are sinners, and we are not able to make it to heaven on our own. Someone might say, but I keep the Law. Do you really?
Romans;3:10-18(as it is written, 'THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE, THEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN GRAVE, WITH THEIR TONGUES THEY KEEP DECEIVING,""THE POISON OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS"; "WHOSE MOUTH IS FULL OF CURSING AND BITTERNESS"; "THEIR FEET ARE SWIFT TO SHED BLOOD, DESTRUCTION AND MISERY ARE IN THEIR PATHS, THE PATH OF PEACE THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN." "THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES."
That cover all of us, you and I.

[Are We Justified By The Law?]
We are not justified by keeping the Law.
Galatians;2:16(nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified.)
Galatians;3:10-12(For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO DOES NOT ABIDE BY ALL THE THINGS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LAW, TO PERFORM THEM." Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for "THE RIGHTEOUS MAN SHALL LIVE BY FAITH".)

We are set free from the curse of the Law by Jesus Christ. You might not think you were cursed, but none of us keeps the Law.
Galatians;3:13-14(Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, "CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE"-in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.)
What does the Law do for us?
Galatians;3:23-24(But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the Law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith.)
So now you see that we are not going to live by the Law, but by faith in Jesus.

[Save By Grace Through Faith]
We could try to keep the Law and think that we were saved, but the Scriptures say different. First Jesus tells us that he is the way to heaven and the only way.
John;14:6(Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.)
Matthew;7:13-14("Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.)
Ephesians;2:8-9(For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.)
Ephesians;2:13(But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.)

We all have a chance to accept Jesus. We need to put our faith in Him and nothing else. It is so easy to be saved, yet so many won't accept Jesus because they love this present life more than God. We are told that we are just a vapor here on earth, here for a little while then gone. That is so true of our life. I have put my faith in Jesus and given Him my life. I pray that you won't wait until it's to late to do the same. He is standing at the door waiting for you not wanting anyone to perish.

You parents need to make sure that you are teaching your children about Jesus. You don't want your children to end up in hell because your weren't willing to talk to them. Make sure that you have them in church where they will be taught the Word of God. Read to them from the Bible. All children want someone read to them. Go to church with them, make it a family thing. We are all part of God's family if we have been born again.
1John;5:11-12(And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.)

You can't explain salvation in Jesus any better than the previous Scripture. There is salvation in no other. God's wrath is not for believers, but for those who reject His Son.
1Thessalonians;5:9-10(For God has not destined us to wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.)

!!!DON"T WAIT ANOTHER SECOND, IT MIGHT BE YOUR LAST BREATH ON EARTH!!!!

God Bless You!

The Consequences Of Unbelief!

Have you ever wondered why we have so much perversion in the world. I was watching the news this morning and seen in Israel where the gay and lesbian community wanted to have a march down the streets of Jerusalem. It's really hard to believe what our country is turning into. We are becoming more sinful by the day. How much longer do we think God will stand by without punishing us? God is patient, not wanting anyone to die in their sin.

We are told in the book of Genesis that God destroyed everything on the earth because of the corruption of mankind.
Genesis;6:1(Then the Lord said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he is also flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.")
Prior to this time, men lived to be hundreds of years old.
Genesis;5:5(So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years and he died.)
Genesis:5:8(So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.)
So we see that man did live a long time, but as the world became more corrupt things changed.

So we can see that man brings upon himself all kinds of trouble.
Genesis;6:5(Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only on evil continually.)
So God brought the Flood upon mankind and the animals and destroyed all but Noah and his family, and he saved pairs of all the animals, to preserve some of each. God told Noah to go into the ark and close the doors, because God was going to flood the earth and destroy it.
Genesis;7:4(For after seven more days, I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights; and I will blot out from the face of the land every living thing that I have made.) And why did God do this? Because the world was corrupt. Why would He not destroy the earth again?

When God saw the wickedness of Sodom and Gamorrah, he destroyed them. What was part of their wickness?
Genesis;19:1(Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening as Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.) But what did the men of the city do?
Genesis;19:4-5(Before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter; and they called to Lot and said to him, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.) This was one type of perversion that was happening. So God destroyed the cities.
Genesis;19:24-25(Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gamorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven, and He overthrew those cities, and all the valley, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.)

Enough is enough? God will not put up with sin forever He give people a chance to repent of their sins. The problem is that people don't believe in God, even though they know He does exist.

[Unbelief and It's Consequences]
Romans;1:18-19(For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.) So we can tell He exist because He has made it evident to us.
[UNBELIEF]
Romans;1:22-23(Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptable God for an image in the form of corruptable man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.)
[CONSEQUENCES}
Romans;19:24-27(Therefore God gave them over in the lust of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever, Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also men abandoned the natural functiion of the woman and burned in their desire toward on another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of this error.)
[MORE CONSEQUENCES]
Romans;1:28-32(And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deciet, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrust-worthy, unloving, unmerciful, and although they know the ordinances of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval of those who practice them.) Sound like our present world?

We know that sin entered the world and because of sin our world has been becoming more corrupt. We witness these things everyday. All you have to do is read the news paper or watch any news program. The unrighteousness of man is becomming more evident every time we turn around. We know what God says about sin, that it is deserving of death. We as Christains are to be a light in a dark place, a witness for Jesus. No matter how bad a persons lifestyle is, Jesus can set them free from sin.

We need to pray for our country, and our leaders, and our lawmakers. We as a country need to turn from sin. God doesn't tolerate sin and we shouldn't either. As long as we allow people to push God out of our country, they will continue until we say enough is enough. Stand up for Jesus.

God Bless You!

Cults Are Anti-Christ!

What is a cult? We are told that there are many cults in the world today, but do you know what a cult is? You could refer to any cult, as a form of antichristianism.
They deny the Diety of Christ in one way or another. They do not accept Jesus as God the Son. He is called a good person, or a prophet, a good teacher and so on.

The New Ungers Bible Dictionary explains an antichrist as: one who opposes Christ, whether he opposes the doctrine of His diety or His humanity: or whether he sets himself against Him in respect to His priestly office, by substituting other methods of atoning for sin and finding acceptance with God; he also claims authority to add to, alter, or take away from the revelation that God has given in His Holy Word.
In a general sense and antichrist is a person who is opposed to the authority of Christ as head of the church and creation.

We see these people out on the street everyday. Some of them are in organizations, others are just anti-Christ. They show up on your doorstep wanting to convert you to their way of thinking or doctrine. We are told in the Bible that this will happen in the end times.

1John;2:18(Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrist have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.) John tells us that this is one of the signs of the end times. He also tells who they are and what to watch for.
1John2;22-23(Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.)

We are told that we need to recognize the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. This is the way to tell them apart.
1John;4:1-3(Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.)

We are told in the Scriptures that there is only one gospel, and that is the gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul wrote in the book of Galatians what to watch for. Galatians;1:8-9(But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.)
This sure sounds like the angel (MORONI) that spoke to Joseph Smith. He was preaching another gospel, contrary to what the Bible teaches. Now Paul was straight forward about this type of false spirit.

Paul tells us how he received the gospel.
Galatians;1:11-12(But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through revelation of Jesus Christ.)
Peter tells us about these distructive doctrines.
2Peter;2:1-2(But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will fallow their destructive ways because of whom the way of thruth will be blasphemed.)

We are told that they will come and that many will follow their false doctrine. We see this by the number of large cults today. People are searching for the truth but they are looking in the wrong place for the truth. Jesus tell us He is the way the truth and the life. He also tells us that few will find it. Many are going to think that they have found the way to Heaven only to find that they aren't known by God.
Matthew;7:21-23("Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!") You sure don't want to hear that from Jesus. A lot of people think that they can live anyway they please, and still get into Heaven. It sure doesn't sound like they will make it in.

If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ in your life, don't wait. We are not promised another second of time in our life. If you die without Jesus, you will spend eternity seperated from God. There is no second chance after you die. You have one life here on earth and after that comes the judgment. You can be sure of making it into Heaven by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It's this simple:
Romans;10:8-13(But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" that is the word of faith which we preached: that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in you heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart on believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.")

God's Love! The Free Gift Of Life In Jesus!

Have you ever just sat down and reflected on how much God love us? We think we know what love is, but do we really? We love our family and we love those who love us, or at least we say we love them. But I don't really think we understand what real unconditional love is. I looked up love in the Webster Dictionary and most of the definitions, I don't think fit. Here are some that I think might get close to how God love us.

Love: (A)unselfish concern that freely accepted another in loyality and seeks his good. (1)the fatherly concern of God for man.
John;3:14-17("As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, That whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.")

We are told many places in the Scriptures just how much God loves us. He loved us so much that He sent us a Savior. We had no hope of ever making it to heaven, we were dead in our sins. We needed a new life, and the life was in Jesus. We needed to be born again of the Spirit.
John;3:3(Jesus answered and said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God".) Here we are being told that we have to be born again. What exactly is being born again and why do we have to do it. Jesus explains why in the next few verses.
John;3:5-6(Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.")
1Corinthians;15:50(Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.)

We have a another explaination of what God is talking about in Corinthians.
Corinthians;15:40(There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one , and the glory of the earthly is another.) What are we talking about here? This will help explain the difference between the earthly body and the heavenly body.
Corinthians;15:42-49(So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL, The last Adam became a life giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are the heavenly. Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we will also bear the image of the heavenly.)

Our present bodies are sinful, prone to decay and sickness. Our heavenly bodies will be made to last for eternity. They will not get sick or tired, or die. We will have a heavenly body and it will be a spiritual body. God will give us this new body. Have you ever thought about eternity? Our feeble minds cannot comprehend forever, because we live in time. Everything we do is measured in the amount of time it takes to do it. We can think we know what forever is and we believe what God says, but it is still hard to comprehend. Millions and millions of years from now, we will still be in heaven worshipping God.

Now how are we going to get to heaven? It's not going to be by our works. God has explained that clearly in the Scriptures.
John;14:6(Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.")
Romans;5:8(But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.)
Romans;5:1(Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.)
Ephesians;2:4-6(But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ(by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.)

So now we see that our good works won't get us to heaven. It is all about Jesus and the blood He shed for you and me on the cross.
Romans;3:23(For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.)
Romans;3:28(For we maintain that man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.)
Ephesians;2:8-9(For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.)
Aren't we glad that it is a free gift from God? I know that I would never have been good enough, and neither would you. We are all sinners, and that is why Jesus came to earth to save us. He loved us so much that He was willing to die for us.
John;15:13-14(Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.)
Jesus laid down His life for you and me. We didn't deserve to live. We can demonstrate our love for Him by accepting Him as our savior, and obeying His commandments.

If you haven't already accepted Christ as your Savior, today is the day.
Romans;10:9-10(that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;)
It's as simple as that. Jesus has already paid the price for our sins, there is nothing more that we need to do. I pray that you will give your life to Jesus today.

God Bless You!

Our Country's Downward Spiral!

What is our world coming to? Our society is going down hill so fast that it is hard to believe. Why do you think that this is happening to our world? One of the main reasons I feel that we are spiraling down hill so fast is that we have pushed God out of our society and are allowing sin to come in. We as Christians have allowed the Athiest, the Sexually Immoral, the Cults, and all forms of perversion to take over our country. As the old saying goes, "THE SQUEEKY WHEEL GETS GREASED". We have stood by quietly and allowed those who don't love God to tell us what we are going to do.

All you have to do is just look around. You have those who don't want you and I to have a nativity scene in public, or the Ten Commandments in public, or prayer in the schools or in public. They trash our leaders because they stand up for moral issues. I guess I don't see their logic when they say we are infringing on their rights when we put out Christmas scenes or the Ten Commandments in public. But it is alright for them to tell us what we can do. You get the picture.

What does God say about all of this. When God tells us to recognize the signs of the end times, He also tells us what some of the signs are going to be.
2Timothy;3:1-4(But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.) Now doesn't that sound like what we are dealing with today in our society? We are seeing these actions unfolding right in front of us.

I heard on the morning news this morning about a minister who has acknowledged he had been immoral, and has been relieved of his position as the minister. The news woman said, "why can't we just have gay people in our ministry"? She was talking to a woman who was a minister, and what does God's word say?

Pastor: "A shepard, one who tends herds or flocks" is used metaphorically of Christian pastors. Pastors guide as well as feed the flock.
Elder:The elders of the New Testament church were pastors, overseers, leaders of the church.

[Qualifications of Elders and Overseers]
1Timothy;3:2-3(An overseer, then must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine, or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.) Sure sounds like this is a position that a man is supposed to be in, not a woman.
Titus;1:5-9(For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion. For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward, not selfwilled, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.) Once again, this sounds like it is a position of authority over the church. We are told that a man is to fill this position.

You see how we have gotten away from the Scriptures. A little change here, and a little there, and we have totally gotten away from Word of God. We are allowing things to happen in our society that are drawing us further away from God's Word. We accept things that aren't proper for people to be doing, and then say we need to be more tolerant. What are we be tolerant of? God says it is SIN. People say "oh they're just exercising freedom of speech, or belief, or action," all of which go against the laws of God.

We need to stand up for righteousness, and denounce unrighteousness. Evil is becoming more prevalent in our society. God will not bless a country that is doing evil and condoning it.
1Peter;3:10-12(For"THE ONE WHO DESIRES LIFE, TO LOVE AND SEE GOOD DAYS, MUST KEEP HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL AND HIS LIPS FROM SPEEKING DECIET. HE MUST TURN AWAY FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD; MUST SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT. FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE TOWARD THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ATTEND TO THEIR PRAYER, BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL."
We need to pray for our country and our leaders, so that they will make the righteous decisions. We are living in a time when people are saying "if it feels good, then it must be alright." God says all sin is forbidden. There is no such thing as a little sin or a big sin, sin in any form leads to death.

I pray that our nation will turn around and start standing up for what is right, and start doing what God has commanded us. We need to turn away from evil before it is too late. Ask God to forgive our country and help us get back on the righteous track.

God Bless You!
