That's Your Belief!

This past month I was sharing with a family member and friend what God tells us in His Word about sin. I told him that if he didn't come to Jesus for forgiveness of sins then he would die in his sins. I told him that there is no second chances after death and he would die in his sins. The response I received from him was "That's your belief". I responded with "You're right, that is my belief because that is what God tells us in His Word".

Believing in Jesus is a must if you are to have eternal life. All through the Bible we are instructed to believe on the name of the only begotten Son of God. Without believing that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, we cannot be saved.
John; 8:24
(Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.")

As believers in Jesus, it is sometimes hard to understand how others can say that they don't believe. Especially when God has revealed to all mankind the evidence of His existence through creation. No one will have an excuse for not believing in God.
Romans; 1:18-20
(For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,)

So what do we do when someone says that they just don't believe? We can show them what God says in His word and that might help, but the best weapon we have against unbelief is prayer. We need to be praying for the lost in the world that God will lift the veil of unbelief and they will come to saving knowledge of God. We might feel that they will never turn to Jesus, but Jesus tells us that with man it is impossible, but with God nothing is impossible. Our Job! Keep praying!

God Bless You!
