Pharisees And The Law!

Mark; 2:17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."
Jesus had gone to Levi's house to eat and there were tax collectors and sinners there also. They were just having dinner when some scribes and Pharisees saw them eating. They confronted His disciples and ask why Jesus was eating with sinners and tax collectors? The Pharisees were the religious elite dealt with legal matters pertaining to the law. They so esteemed the "letter" of the law of Moses (more so than the "spirit" of the law), and so esteemed the oral traditions that were said to have sprung from the law, that they developed strict applications of the law for everyday life. When Jesus heard them comment about Him eating with sinners, He corrected them and told them He came to save the unrighteous. Maybe you don't think you are unrighteous, but the Scriptures say that none are righteous no not one. Everyone of us is a sinner and thus unrighteous. When you repent of your sins and ask Jesus into your life, He washes you clean of all unrighteousness. He is the only way to be saved from your sins and inherit eternal life. Eternal life is in Jesus and no one else. If you are putting your faith in anyone besides Jesus, you are not going to spend eternity with God but will spend it in the Lake of Fire.

God can save you but you must come to Him for forgiveness of sins. The penalty of sin is death  and separation from God through all of eternity. Eternal life is the free gift from God through Jesus Christ and Him only. You must repent and come to Him to get that gift. He is waiting for you to come but the decision is yours to make.
John'3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

God Bless You!
