Esther: 3:8
(Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, "There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from all other people's, and they do not keep the king's laws. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them remain.)
Haman's pride had gotten the best of him. He couldn't stand it that Mordecai the Jew wouldn't bow down to him when he came by. So he devised a plan to have the king decree that all of the Jew's should be destroyed. What he didn't realize was that Queen Esther was also a Jew and that she had found out about his plan. To make the story short, Haman had planned evil against the Jew's but ended up being hanged from the gallows instead of Mordecai.
Proverbs; 26:27
(Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, And he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him.)
Anytime a person plans evil against another person, God is aware of the plan. That plan will many times backfire before it is even carried out. Even if the plan is successful, God can bring about good instead of evil from the plan. God tells us that His face is against those who do evil. When a person makes this kind of plan, he is going against God and he will always lose as in the case of Haman. The gallows he built for Mordecai, he ended up on himself. We are warned not to run with those who devise evil in their heart.
Make it a point to always do good and respect all of God's creation. The thing to remember is that you are not battling against man when you device evil but against the God of the universe. God hates evil but loves good. Make your choice for good.
God Bless You!

Abominations Of Pagan Religions
2Chronicles; 28:3
(He burned incense in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, and burned his children in the fire, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.)
When Ahaz was king of Judah, he did evil in the sight of the Lord God. He worshiped as the pagans who God had delivered into the hand of Israel. We know that these religions had some very evil practices of which this one was horrendous. They would heat up these metal idols they worshiped until they were red hot. Then they would place their own babies into the arms of these idols to be burned to death. What a horrible death these babies were subjected to. How could they be so cruel?
Aren't we glad that we don't live in this time period? But wait a minute. We are living in a time period just like this. We don't call ours worship but instead we call it abortion. Same horrendous death for innocent babies. Maybe they aren't put into the arms of a red hot idol to die but they are put into the arms of an abortion doctor. Pastor Chuck Smith said it this way, "Babies killed for the sake of convenience, offered up to the god of pleasure, burned in the abortionist's saline solution". How can we be so cruel?
God punished nations when they refused to obey Him. How much more deserving of punishment is our nation for this abomination? We have the Word of God to teach us that this is morally wrong, yet we have made abortion perfectly legal. Any time we try to change the abortion laws, there are people who hit the streets protesting any change. When someone runs for office, this is one platform they must agree with or face losing the election. Many candidates cave in to these pro abortionist groups just to win the election.
The God of the Old Testament is the same God we will answer to today. He doesn't change. What was an abomination to Him then is an abomination to Him today. We need to pray for forgiveness and outlaw this horrendous law. You may disagree with this, but you are not disagreeing with me but with God's moral law. He is the one we all have to answer to one day.
God Bless You!

Our Inheritance!
1Peter; 1:4
(to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,)
Has the world condition caused you much grief? If you are like most of us, you have watched your retirement saving disappear, 401K lose much of it's value or maybe you have lost you're job or even your home. Even knowing that things should get better doesn't bring much relief now. We try not to worry about it knowing that God doesn't want us to worry. It's still very hard for most of us not to worry about what the future holds in store for us.
God tells us that this present world is eventually going to be burned up and destroyed and we need to be putting our treasures up in heaven. This should give us hope for the future knowing that God is still in control of everything. None of this crisis is a surprise to God. He knew from the foundation of the earth that in 2008 the world economy we be in the dumps. He knew that human greed would lead to this as we find more corruption everyday. The world is a powder keg just waiting to be ignited. This shows us that we are living in the end times.
So what is the answer? Put your faith in Jesus Christ knowing that He loves you and He will not forsake you. God tells us that our home in heaven is safe from corruption and it is reserved for all who have put their faith in Jesus.
John; 14:3
(And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.)
Jesus loves you and He is very concerned about the suffering you may be going through right now. But rest assured, your future home in heaven is safe and waiting for you. If you haven't put your faith in Jesus Christ, now is the time. Tell Jesus that you are sorry for your sins and that you want Him for your Savior. Ask Him into your life today and know for sure that you have a home in heaven waiting for you.
God Bless You!

The Time Will Come
2Timothy; 4:3-4
(For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.)
I personally feel that we are seeing this today. Some churches today don't preach about hell or eternal destruction. Why don't they tell the congregation the truth about what God has to say about hell. Could it be that they won't endure the truth? I personally feel that they won't so they get a watered down message. Then they can leave church feeling good about themselves and not have any conviction about consequences of sin.
Truth can be a hard pill to swallow when it convicts you of sin. If you don't want to turn from that sin, then you move on to a more friendly message church. Hell is definitely a reality for those who refuse to put their faith in Jesus Christ. If it wasn't a reality, why would Jesus say it was the destiny for those who are not forgiven of their sins? When the Word is not taught in truth but made to feel good, that is an injustice to all the hearers. Their eternal life is being put in jeopardy beacuse they want their ears tickled and they move away from sound doctrine.
2Timothy; 4: 1-2
(I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.)
Know for certain that God does want preachers to teach the whole truth from His word. He wants us to know the truth and the whole truth. Whatever you do, don't turn a deaf ear to the Word of God. Take your Bible with you when you go to church. Search the Scriptures daily as the the people of Berea did and don't be fooled by half doctrine. If your ears itch, scratch them with the truth from God's word.
God Bless You!

To Do Good Or Do Evil!
Isaiah; 5:20
(Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!)
We see this going on in our society today. We are in a state of moral decay and not only do we see this but it is promoted on radio and television. Look at some of the TV shows that are broadcast every night. I don't know how you feel about it but there is not much on television worth watching.
When you watch the news, all we see is what the news media wants us to see. Take what is going on in the middle east. All we see is the damage that Israel does when they retaliate against Hamas attacks. We don't see the pain that the people of Israel experience when they are attacked by Hamas rockets or suicide bombers. Why don't we see this side in the news? It is so the news media can influence our opinion against the people of Israel instead of against Hamas who wants to destroy the State of Israel. Here you have the people of God under attack and the news media says it is Israel's fault for defending itself. How can protecting yourself from terrorist be wrong?
We have the homosexual community demanding equal rights in marriage, and adoption when what they are doing is an abomination to God. They are breaking God's moral laws. I'm not their judge, but I am suppose to be able to discern what God has said is wrong as wrong. God hates sin in any form and we are not to condone it. God doesn't hate the individual involved in this sin, but he does hate the sin. What is happening in the world is that we are being desensitized to this form of sin.
Darkness (EVIL) is beginning to replace light (GOOD) and we don't seem to care. It has been happening for years and has been so subtle that we have been lulled into accepting it as the norm. What used to be banned on television in the form of language and nudity is accepted and if it isn't there the ratings drop. So as a society we have exchanged good for evil.
If we want God to continue to bless this nation of ours, we had better turn from our evil ways and repent and ask for forgiveness. All through history, nations that have morally decayed have fallen from power and ceased to exist. We are no different today than they were. If we continue on this wide path of destruction, we will succeed in destroying ourselves. History has repeated itself and it won't stop because of us. When our nation used to be a shinning light in a dark world and we stood up for what was right, now we have become despised by the rest of the world. Why has that happened? It is because we have turned our back on God who was the sole reason for our prosperity. We have exchanged righteousness for unrighteousness and we are reaping the consequences.
If we hope to become the nation we used to be, we need to return to God. He is the only hope we have in this evil world.
2Chronicles; 7:14
(if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.)
God Bless You!

Look Up! Your Redemption Draws Near!
Luke; 21:21
(Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift your heads, because your redemption draws near.")
We are starting to see these things begin to happen. The countries of the world are turning against Israel. Prophecies are being fulfilled and people are hungry for the Word of God. With the condition of our world in total disarray and peace hard to find in any country, people are looking for answers. Our economy is bad not just in America, but all over the world. We are in a global recession and it could possibly usher in a one world government. Years ago, one might have said how could anything bring us into a one world government and one world economy. I think we are starting to see just how easy it can happen.
With everything that is happening today, believers have hope in the expectation that Jesus may soon to rapture us out of here. We have nations in distress all over the world. We have corruption in our government officials. Morality in America is almost nonexistent. We have man lying with man and woman with woman. We even have same sex marriages. All of this is an abomination to God.
Leviticus; 18:22
(You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.)
Not only is this happening but some states want to make it legal even though it is a perversion of God's moral laws.
I'm not saying that Jesus is coming today or tomorrow even though He may. What I am saying is that when your faith is in Jesus Christ, you can to look up and hold your head high. We don't have to worry about everything going on in the world. God is still in control and nothing is going to happen that He doesn't allow. If you haven't put your faith in Jesus Christ, today is the day. Jesus loves you and He doesn't want you to perish but to have eternal life. Remember, you won't have a second chance for forgiveness if you die in your sins. Ask for forgiveness today while you still have breath in your lungs. He wants to save you!
God Bless You!

Without Blemish!
Deuteronomy; 17:1
(You shall not sacrifice to the LORD your God a bull or sheep which has any blemish or defect, for this an abomination to the LORD your God.)
When God was instructing the people about sacrificing animals, He specifically told them that the animal had to be perfect. He didn't want their left overs which they didn't want, but He wanted the best they had to offer. If they brought in some animal that wasn't perfect, they were not showing the respect that God deserves and requires. In effect, they were failing to acknowledge God as God the provider of all the best we have.
God desires the first fruits of all we have to give. In the Old Testament, when the people gave the first of the crops to the Lord, they were saying that they had faith that God would supply all their needs through the remaining year. It is the same with us today in our giving to the Lord. God wants our first fruits as an act of faith.
Proverbs; 3:9
(Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;)
God doesn't need our money, but He wants us to give in faith and with a loving heart. By giving in this manner, we are telling Him that we are very thankful for His provisions in our life. Also we are saying that we know He will supply our needs present and future.
When God the Father sent Jesus to earth to die in our place, He sent the perfect sacrifice of all time. God the Son came to die for our sins and He needed to be perfect. Anything less than perfect would not have satisfied the requirements of a Holy God. Jesus had to be perfect and He fulfilled that requirement in that He was fully man and fully God. He was sinless and no man on earth is sinless.
Romans; 3:23
(for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God)
We are told that Jesus was sinless.
1Peter; 2:22-24
("Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed.)
So God gave everything for us and we need to give our best to Him. It cost Jesus His life for us to have eternal life. Without His shedding His blood on the cross, we would not have forgiveness of sins. It was His blood that made atonement for our soul.
Leviticus; 17:11
(For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.')

No Sin Is Unknown!
Numbers; 32:23
(But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out.)
When David sinned with Bathsheba, she became pregnant with his child. Now if the sin itself wasn't bad enough, David decided to try to cover it up. So David called Joab and told him to put Bathsheba's husband Uriah in the front lines at battle and then back away from him so that he would be killed. The sin of adultery was bad now he was going to commit murder by having Uriah killed in battle. As we know, the cover up didn't work because God saw everything and was displeased with David. David confessed his sin and was forgiven by God but there was still consequences for that sin. David and Bathsheba lost their son who was born to them.
How often we think we can cover up our sin thinking no one will know. We sometimes forget that God see everything we do good or evil.
Hebrews; 4:13
(And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.)
In our own mind we may feel we have gotten away with a sin, but God say you haven't. That is a very sobering thought when you think about it. All of us have done things we didn't think anyone knew about but God says He knew.
The Bible talks about sin as being leaven in a lump of dough. Once the leaven is introduced, it will eventually permeate the whole lump. When we allow any form of sin to get foothold in our life, it will continue to spread into more sin. We all sin and have fallen short of the glory of God and are in need of forgiveness. God tells us if we confess our sin He will forgive us, but we need to turn away from sin in the future. All sin is evil in the eyes of God and there is a price that must be paid. Now for all who have come to faith in Jesus Christ, the price has been paid at the cross. But for those who have not come to Jesus for forgiveness, they will have to pay the price themselves.
Romans; 6:23
(For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.)
You don't have to pay the price yourself because Jesus has already died in your place when He went to the cross. He died for all the sins ever committed, but you must come to Him to be forgiven for those sins. Come to Jesus today and get right with God. Once you die there is no second chance of forgiveness, you will then pay the price yourself. You will be eternally separated form God in the Lake of Fire.
God Bless You!

The Resurrection of Life And Of Condemnation!
John; 5:28-29
(Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth-those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.)
The good in this verse refers to those who have put their faith in the Son of God. Their new nature has allowed them to produce good works for the kingdom. We are told in the Bible that apart from Jesus we can do nothing. When you have Jesus in your life and are empowered by the Holy Spirit, the works you do in the Spirit will bring glory to God.
The evil in this verse refers to those who have rejected the Son of God and are unsaved. They chose the love of this world over the love of God. Jesus had died on the cross for their sins and yet they refused this free gift of life. They will receive a resurrected body suitable for spending eternity in Hell. These will not be cast into the lake of fire and annihilated. Scripture tell us that the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever.
The time is coming when Jesus is going to separate those who have done good from those who have done evil.
Matthew; 13:41-42
(The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.)
Like the devil and his angels, they will exist forever in the lake of fire. So if you think that you'll be annihilated, you are wrong.
You don't have to be at the Great White Throne Judgement. This will be a judgement of all the resurrected unsaved since time began. All of those who have died with out Christ are awaiting this judgement. Jesus told those who were listening to Him that if they didn't believe He was who He claimed to be, they would die in their sins. Put your faith in Jesus today. He is the only way to salvation and eternity in Heaven.
God Bless You!

That None Should Perish!
2Peter; 3:9
(The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.)
There are some people today who use this time of grace to justify in their mind that there will not be a second coming of Christ. They go around saying that everything continues just as it has and that nothing is going to happen. They could not be further from the truth. God doesn't want anyone to perish and end up in hell and is waiting for all sinners to repent. Of course we know that all will not repent but only those who are called by God. This doesn't mean that we don't have an opportunity to repent and be saved.
Everyone can be saved if they will just repent and turn from their sin. Jesus came to save all sinners but most people would rather enjoy this present life in sin. They don't want to consider the fact that they will one day stand in judgement for their sins. Jesus came to offer forgiveness for sin but you must accept it from Him. You would think that it would be an easy choice, but people love their sinful life more than eternal life with God.
The pleasures of this life are temporal but eternal life is for ever. One day God will destroy this present world with fire and all the ungodly with it. Then will come the Great White Throne Judgement where all the unsaved will be judged. All of us have to make a choice while we are alive here on earth. The choice is, will we turn to Jesus and accept His forgiveness of sins or continue in sin and end up in judgement?
C. S. Lewis once said that in the end there are two groups of people. One group of people says to God, "Thy will be done." These are those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ and will live forever with God in heaven. The second group of people are those to whom God says, "Thy will be done!" These are those who have rejected Jesus Christ and will spend eternity apart from Him. Which group will you be in?
God isn't going to force you to choose Him. He has given us His Son to die in our place for our sins and all we have to do is accept the free gift of forgiveness. The choice is yours to make, no one can make it for you. I choose Jesus and I pray you do too.
John; 3:16
(For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.)
