Either Jesus Paid The Penalty For You, Or You Will Pay It Yourself!

In my last two blogs I have talked about God's love for us and the fact that we are all sinners. Now I want to talk about the penalty for our sins. Everything that a person does that goes against our laws requires a penalty for the crime. If you speed you get a ticket and have to pay a price for speeding. If you do something more serious, time in jail might be the price for the crime.

When we sin, the price is very high for that sin. God tells us that the penalty of sin is death and the price must be paid. We each shall bear our own guilt. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father nor the father of the son. When we sin, we are the one who sinned and we are the one who is guilty of that sin.
Ezekiel; 18:4
(Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.)
Ezekiel; 18:20
(The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.)

When we sin, we make a conscious decision to sin. We know what we are doing and we know that it is wrong and there will be a price for that decision to sin. We must understand that nothing is hidden from the eyes of God. He see everything we do and we cannot hide it from Him.
Hebrews; 4:13
(And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.)
You will not be able to hide anything from God. When we sin, He sees it. We know that the wages of sin is death, yet we continue to sin.
Romans; 6:23
(For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.)
Even when we sin there is still hope for life and that life is in Jesus.

We also know that we have to give account to God for our sins.
Romans; 14:12
(So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.)
Why do we have to give account? There still is the penalty to be dealt with. If you haven't ask Jesus for forgiveness, you are still guilty.
James; 1:15
(Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death.)
We are still under the death penalty because we haven't ask Jesus to forgive us and save us from that death penalty. You might think that when you die it's over but that isn't what the Word of God tell us.
Hebrews; 9:27
(And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,)

Lets take a look at what is in store for those who die apart from Jesus, who haven't come to him for forgiveness of sins. They are still guilty if sin.
Revelation; 10:12-15
(And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and the books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to their works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.)

There is still hope while we live. We can come to Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins and be saved from the second death, "THE LAKE OF FIRE". You don't have to die in your sins, the choice is yours. You can choose Jesus and be with all of the born again believers who will be in Heaven, or you can choose the lake of fire and all of the unbelievers who chose not to put their faith in Jesus. Jesus came down to earth to die for our sins and there by paying the penalty for our sins.

We all have to make this choice before we die. No one is exempt from sin.
1John; 5:11-12
(And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.)
It doesn't get any clearer than that. If you don't put your faith in Jesus for forgiveness, you will not have eternal life in Heaven.

God Bless You!
